May 6th 2006-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Eagle Den Junlaphan (15-1, 6) vs Rodel Mayol (22-0, 17) Although now a bit of a forgotten fighter Eagle Den Junlaphan was a fantastic little man who scored a number of very good wins during his short but meaningful professional boxing career, which saw him twice reign as the WBC Minimumweight champion. In 2006 he clashed with future WBC Light Flyweight champion Rodel Mayol from the Philippines.

September 27th 2015-Osaka, Japan Eagle Den Junlaphan (18-2, 6) Vs Era Toshihiko (N/A) In November 2007 Eagle Den Junlaphan lost the WBA Minimumweight title Oleydong Sithsamerchai. We expected that to be the last we'd see of Eagle Den but last year he returned for a one off exhibition with Era Toshihiko, the chairman of ONE GROUP. Despite his long break from the ring, and being 36, Junlaphan looked in great shape and seemed happy to be back in the ring November 13th 2006-Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan Eagle Den Junlaphan (16-1, 6) v Lorenzo Trejo (28-16, 15) Japanese based Thai "Eagle" Den Junlaphan [อีเกิ้ล อากากูร่า] was a fighter who really did make a name for himself away from home whilst having two reigns at the WBC Minimumweight champion. One of the most notable fights of Junlaphan's reign saw him taking on a very determined Lorenzo Trejo on a bout that featured non-stop action and 3 knockdowns. A genuinely forgotten war between little men. |
