November 15th 2022-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo Daigo Higa (18-2-1, 17) vs Songsaeng Phoyaem (18-2, 12) In late 2022 former WBC Flyweight champion Daigo Higa [比嘉大吾] faced off with Thai youngster Songsaeng Phoyaem at Korakuen Hall, as Higa looked to rebuild from a 2021 loss to Ryosuke Nishida.

April 24th 2021-Convention Center, Ginowan, Okinawa, Japan Daigo Higa (17-1-1, 17) Vs Ryosuke Nishida (3-0, 1) This past weekend in Okinawa local favourite Daigo Higa [比 嘉 大吾], a former WBC Flyweight champion, faced off with Ryosuke Nishida [西田凌佑]. Coming in to this bout Higa was looking to make his first defense of the WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight title, which he won at the very end of 2020 with a brutal KO over Yuki Strong Kobayashi, and move towards another potential world title bout. As for Nishida this was a hige step up in class, taking on a former world champion in just his 4th bout. December 31st 2020-Ota-City General Gymnasium, Tokyo, Japan Daigo Higa (16-1-1, 16) Vs Yuki Strong Kobayashi (16-8, 9) Earlier today we saw WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight champion Yuki Strong Kobayashi [ストロング小林佑樹] take on former WBC Flyweight champion Daigo Higa [比嘉 大吾] at the Ota-City General Gymnasium. October 26th 2020-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Daigo Higa (16-1, 16) vs Seiya Tsutsumi (5-0-1, 4) Back in October Japanese fight fans at Korakuen Hall saw former WBC Flyweight champion Daigo Higa [比嘉 大吾] battle with fellow Japanese fighter Seiya Tsutsumi [堤聖也]. On paper this was expected to be an easy win for Higa however Tsutsumi had twice beaten Higa in the amateurs and was the naturally bigger man. February 13th 2020-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Daigo Higa (15-1, 15) vs Jason Buenaobra (7-4-3, 3) After almost 2 years away from the ring we saw the ring return of former WBC Flyweight champion Daigo Higa [比嘉 大吾] this past week, as he took on Filipino foe Jason Buenaobra. April 15th 2018-Arena, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan Daigo Higa (15-0, 15) Vs Cristofer Rosales (26-3, 17) Yesterday the WBC stripped Japan's Daigo Higa [比嘉 大吾] of their Flyweight title, after he was unable to make weight, despite that he went ahead with a scheduled bout against Nicaraguan challenger Cristofer Rosales. February 4th 2018-Prefectural Budokan, Naha, Okinawa, Japan Daigo Higa (14-0, 14) Vs Moises Fuentes (25-4-1, 14) Earlier today we saw WBC Flyweight champion Daigo Higa [比嘉 大吾] batle against Mexican challenger Moises Fuentes, with Higa looking to impress in front of his home fans on the island of Okinawa October 22nd 2017-Kokugikan, Tokyo, Japan Daigo Higa (13-0, 13) Vs Thomas Masson (17-3-1, 4) Earlier today fight fans saw WBC Flyweight champion Daigo Higa [比嘉 大吾] battle against Frenchman Thomas Masson, with Higa risking his title and 100% KO record against the former 2-time European champion.
