The East Japan Rookie of the Year is set for a big show this coming Tuesday with a 12 bout show at the preliminary stages of the tournament. All 12 bouts will take place between Minimumweight and Featherweight with the winners progressing to the next round. Of course with it being a Rookie card none of the fighters are particularly well known, but that certainly doesn't mean the bouts won't be interesting.
One of the Bantamweight bouts on the card will see Azusa Takeda (2-0, 2) take on Renya Miyamoto (0-1). Takeda has began his carer with back to back opening round wins, at Super Bantamweight, and Miyamoto was stopped inside the opening round on his debut, so this one could be over early!
At Light Flyweight we see 20 year old's clash, with Hidetoshi Takane (1-0, 1) battling against Ryo Kawai (1-1-1). Takane debuted in December, with a 4th round TKO win, whilst Kawai debuted in 2017, and had a technical draw last November. Both will be coming to win, and both will feel pretty confident of move to the next round of the competition.
