Going in to this Bantamweight bout Takahashi is putting on his #7 JBC ranking on the line against his unranked opponent and he may well lose the bout.
Whilst Nakagawa is unranked by the Japanese Boxing Commission he did come incredibly close to defeating Kohei Oba (the current Japanese Bantamweight champion) about a year ago. Though since then he has been clearly defeated by Breilor Teran who also knocked him down.
Interestingly Takahashi has also lost 2 of his last 4 though both of those was at 122lbs including a 10th round TKO loss to Rey Perez in a bout for the WBC Youth Silver Super Bantamweight title. At 118 however Takashi is unbeaten since 2009.
The bout may not look great on paper but both men are pretty evenly matched and we'd not be shocked by a close result either way.
Although the Takahashi/Nagakawa bout is clearly the main event there are 8 other bouts scheduled for the card, unfortunately we're not sure who they are but 2 of the bouts are scheduled for 6 rounds with the others being 4 rounders.
