Whilst Khomsan was competitive with Jarrett Owen (3-1-1, 1) things weren't as good for Khomkeaw who was stopped by Dennis Hogan (12-0-1, 5).
Also in Australia though in Victoria the once highly ranked Allan Tanada (11-2-2, 5) could only manage a draw with Roberto Oyan (20-38-5, 7). A disappointing result for Tanada, a former OPBF Super Featherweight champion.
In Indonesia "TVRI" televised 2 low profile bouts in Jakarta as Skak Max (3-12, 3) stopped Vicky Febrian Lubis (0-1) in round 7 whilst Dicky Joe (1-0, 1) stopped fellow debutant Bub Kalbar (0-1) in 5.
In an IBO Super Flyweight title bout Filipino Edrin Dapudong (29-5, 17) shocked South African fans as he took out Gideon Buthelezi (13-4, 4) in just 149 seconds. This was the second between the two men which originally ended in a very controversial victory for Buthelezi, this time however Dapudong kept the decision well away from the judges.
In Europe things weren't good for fighters originally from Asia. In Britain the Pakistan born Faheem Khan (4-1-2) retired at the end of round 4 against Gareth Heard (5-1, 1) whilst in Denmark the Uzbek born Artem Solomko (11-23-1, 4) lost a decision to Simen Smaadal (6-0, 2) and the gigantic Kazakhstan born Roman Cherney (1-1) was taken out in a round by Otto Walin (1-0, 1).
There was however a victory for Manuel Charr (24-1, 14) who was born in Lebanon (and has previously been based in Syria). Charr took 3 rounds to get rid of Heavyweight rival Oleksiy Mazikin (14-9-2, 4).
In Argentina Chika Mizutani (14-4, 7) was unfortunately outclassed by WBC female Lightweight champion Erica Anabella Farias (17-0, 9). Mizutani showed her toughness though was thoroughly beaten 100-89 on all 3 cards a score that did correctly show the domination of the Argentinian champion who showed why so many rate her the #1 female Lightweight.
