Yemen will never become a boxing super power but fights do occassionally take place there as fans found out on Tuesday.
The show, held at the "22 May Stadium" in Sanaa appears to have featured 3 bouts.
The most notable bout on the card saw the 39 year old Ali Raymi (7-0, 7) scoring his 7th straight opening round victory as he took out Ahmed Yousifi (1-1, 1) in 159 seconds. Surprisingly this was the second longest fight of Raymi's career (lasting 10 seconds less than his victory over Amad Algadsi last month) and his 3rd victory this year.
Raymi was joined by both Omar Awdan (2-0, 2) and Ali Dridi (4-0, 1) who both defeated debutants. For Awdan victory was quick as he took out Khaled Ahmad (0-1) in the 3rd round for Dridi however the stoppage wasn't forthcoming and he had to accept a decision victory over Anwar Ali (0-1).
Whilst no one on the card is expected to go too far in the sport the one to keep an eye on would by Awdan who at just 20 years old may have some upside if he can get out of his homeland. Sadly we don't it'll happen any time soon.
We try and give you the latest results on all the fights from Asia.
