Although Asia has, over the years, held some memorable Heavyweight contests such as "The Thrilla in Manila" it's fair to say that the division hasn't been one that has really been a staple of the Asian fight scene.
Despite the lack of regular action in the division this Monday sees the first defense of the Japanese Heavyweight title by Kyotaro Fujimoto as he takes on #1 contender Kotatsu Takehara.
The show, put on by Kadoebi appears to be dubbed "Japan's strongest I" and on paper looks to be an excellent 7 fight card.
Despite how great the card is the poster is unfortunately pretty poor and not one we're a fan of, though of course the action in the ring is far more important than the action poster.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
