Most of the Western world will be turning their attention to Canada this weekend courtesy of a world title double header in the Light Heavyweight division.
Whilst we, for Asian Boxing, need to ignore one of those fights somewhat as Adonis Stevenson takes on Tony Bellew, we are are awaiting the show for the other fight which sees Sergey Kovalev defending his WBO Light Heavyweight title for the first time. Kovalev will be fighting Ismayl Sillakh in what really should be a set up to a Kovalev/Stevenson bout for 2014.
In regards to the poster it's a solid enough thing with the two lead fighters getting the poster space alongside their bouts.
Some fights deserve great posters and such fight is the upcoming WBO Light Heavyweight title fight between Nathan Cleverly and Sergey Kovalev. The show, dubbed "Red Mist", has one of the very best posters we've seen in a long time with it great imagery, striking text and a host of information.
For both men this seems a fitting poster with the two fighters both pretty much given equal representation in terms of the images. If anything it's actually Kovalev who gets the better treatment with the "reverse" R's in "Sergey" and "Cleverly" and the red Russian theme, despite the fight taking place in Cleverly's homeland of Wales.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
