The first of 3 major Asian shows this week takes place on Tuesday in Japan as the Kameda Bros put on an historic card. This show, which is headlined by 3 title fights, may well be the best show ever put on by the Kameda family and promises some fantastic action.
The first of title fights sees the excellent and always fun to watch Katsunari Takayama defending his IBF Minimumweight title for the first time. "Lightning K" will be facing Filipino challenger Vergilio Silvano.
In the second title fight Tomoki Kameda, Japan's first ever WBO champion, will defend his Bantamweight title against Immanuel Naidjala in what is a battle of unbeaten men. Naidjala will be looking to avenge the loss of the title form his compatriot Paulus Ambunda whilst Tomoki will be looking to extend an excellent run for the Kameda family.
The final title fight of the show will see Daiki Kameda attempting to unify his IBF Super Flyweight title with the WBA belt as he battles Venezuela's Liborio Solis. Sadly Solis has failed to make weight for the fight and in fact hardly made it inside the Bantamweight division.
For the three Japanese fighters it certainly looks to be a tougher test for Daiki than for the other two men.
The top "poster" is from TBS Japan's website. From Notifight we found this second image which we'll admit we think is actually. And it's also worth noting that there is a stand alone Takayama poster (as seen here)
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
