Earlier today Chinese fans saw Zhang Junglong (13-0, 13)* [张君龙] extend his perfect record and score his most impressive victory so far, as he took out tough Brazilian George Arias (56-16, 42) in 2 rounds in Jinghong to claim the WBA Oceania Heavyweight title.
The Chinese slugger, dubbed "The Dragon King", became just the 5th man to stop Arias, who hadn't been stopped since 2005 when he was taken out in 4 rounds by Juan Carlos Gomez. The stoppage saw Junglong doing what the likes of Carlos Takam, Kubrat Pulev, Hughie Fury, Denis Boytsov, Audley Harrison, Taras Bidenko and Sinan Samil Sam couldn't do.
According to Junglong's international manager Alexan Manvelyan we'll next see Junglong fight for an IBF regional title, though there isn't yet an opponent or date set for that bout.
