Big punching Chinese Heavyweight Zhang Junlong (15-0, 15) [张君龙] extended his perfect record yesterdar in Beijing as he took out Argentinian veteran Rogelio Omar Rossi (18-5-1, 11) in the opening round, to defend the WBA Oceania Heavyweigth title for the second time.
The heavy handed "Dragon King" ended the bout with a shot to the liver of Rossi who was in agony as he dropped to the canvas.
Following the bout the stories in China seems to be that Junlong is looking for more serious bouts, and he has continued to be linked to Japan's Kyotaro Fujimoto (16-1, 8) [藤本 京太郎], the current Oriental champion, whilst fans have proposed a possible Chinese showdown between Junlong and fellow Chinese fighter Zhang Zhilei (14-0, 10) [张志磊], who recently won the WBO Oriental Heayweight title.
At the moment it looks like Junlong is looking for more notable bouts and the fact he recently acquired a passport does open up a lot more options for the big puncher who looks to make 2017 a career defining year.
