Earlier today we were informed that OPBF Super Middleweight champion Yuzo Kiyota (26-4-1, 24) will be returning to the ring on December 9th to face a yet un-named challenger to his title.
Kiyota, a former world title challenger, is usually a very entertaining fighter to watch with serious power and an exciting mentality though sadly his career has been a struggle recently with opponents being less than willing to step in the ring against him. The struggles to get worth while opponents saw Kiyota fighting against Indonesia's Hero Yauw Katili last time out and we're hoping that that same issue doesn't strike here. Unfortunately as a Super Middleweight Kiyota's options regionally are lacking unless an Australian challenger wants to give him a bout.
From what we understand the show has been booked for the Korakuen Hall and will also feature Kiyota's stable mate Satoshi Hagizaki (7-8, 3) in an 8 round bout in the chief support contest.
