Japanese fighter Yuko Kuroki (15-4-1, 7) [黒木優子] has really come a very long way in the last 2 years. At the start of 2014 she was a relative unknown outside of the hardcore Japanese fans, now a days she's the WBC female Minimumweight world champion and a fighter who has started to notch up an impressive resume with wins over Mari Ando, Katia Gutierrez, Masae Akitaya and Nancy Franco.
Whilst the last couple of years have been big for Kuroki the fighter seems to be looking at making 2016 an even better year for herself.
The plans for this coming year appear to be huge with Kuroki hoping to achieve two notable things.
One of those is that the young fighter hopes to unify her WBC world title with a title held by another fighter. This could make for some very interesting match ups with the likes of current IBF champion IBF champion Etsuko Tada (15-2-2, 4) [多田 悦子], who actually beat Kuroki around 3 years ago.
Kuroki is also hoping to become a boxer-model having signed up to a modelling agency to try and become a star in two fields.
Whilst her focus is on having a big 2016 we have also learned that her next bout is pencilled in for the Summer, with her next bout taking place in June, though at the moment no details have been released on the bout as of yet.
