On November 28th Japanese fight fans get the chance to see Teiken's Yu Kimura (17-2-1, 3) take part in his biggest fight to date. The bout in question will see the former Japanese Light Flyweight champion face off against WBC world champion Pedro Guevara (26-1-1, 17) in a bout set to be aired on WOWOW.
Yesterday, as part of Kimura's preparation for the bout, he took part in a 12 round spar which he described as being nice for his preparation. He admitted to being tired by the end but it seems that he knows that he has to put in the hard work now less than a month away from the bout that could well define his career.
Interesting it was also revealed that Kimura will be wearing Reyes gloves for the bout, the gloved preferred by Guevara. From what we understand this will be the first time the Japanese fighter has worn the touted "Punchers Gloves". Saying that however they aren't expected to help the challenger who is a noted non-puncher.
