Tomorrow fight fans in Korea will get the chance to see former world champion Yong Soo Choi (30-4-1, 20) [최용수] battle against 23 year old Filipino Nelson Tinampay (11-3-1, 5) in a bout for the interim WBC Eurasia Pacific Boxing Council Lightweight title.
Today those two men took part in their weigh in and both made weight.
The Korean, a former champion at Super Featherweight, came in at 61KG's exactly, or around 134.5lbs. He was comfortably under the Lightweight limit but looked in incredible shape for a 44 year old who had fought just once in the last 14 years, winning a bout against Japan's Kazuya Nakano last April.
Originally Tinampay came in over weight but, on a second attempt, managed to just scrape under the 135lb limit for the bout. Although less well known than Choi the Filipino is the much younger fighter, and has around 20 years of youth on Choi.
