On Tuesday we'll see the long awaited WBC Bantamweight title fight between Shinsuke Yamanaka (27-0-2, 19) [山中慎介] and mandatory challenger Luis Nery (23-0, 17), with the two men facing off in Kyoto.
Today those two fighter took part in a signing ceremony for the media, took some questions, spoken to the press and selected their gloves for the bout.
Yamanaka spoke about tying the Japanese record for most world title defenses and seemed like he was confident and in great shape, though admitted there was some struggles early in camp. As for Nery he he stated he was highly motivated for the contest and that he was going to fight in Japan with the same style as he has done in Mexico, with a lot of aggression.
Both fighters, and Teiken representative Tsuyoshi Hamada, all stated that the bout wouldn't go long, due to the styles and power of the two fighters, with both being heavy handed, destructive and aggressive.
Notably both fighters will be fighting in black Winning gloves.
