Earlier today we reported that Japan's Yu Kimura (17-2-1, 3) would be challenging WBC Light Flyweight champion Pedro Guevara (26-1-1, 17) on November 28th as part of "WOWOW Touch 2015". It now seems that the under-card will be genuinely stacked with notable Japanese fighters.
From we've been told there will be 3 major under-card fights. Although they haven't been fully announced they are set to feature the following men.
Former WBC Featherweight and Super Featherweight champion Takahiro Ao (27-3-1-1, 12), former WBC Flyweight champion Toshiyuki Igarashi (21-2-1, 11) and former OPBF Bantamweight champion Ryosuke Iwasa (19-2, 12).
Of the three men we're expecting to see Igarashi being matched the hardest with the intention of moving him into a world title bout in 2015. He has been relatively inactive since losing the Flyweight crown back in 2013 to Akira Yaegashi and although he is wanting to get a Super Flyweight title title bout in the future his recently competition certainly won't have prepared him for that level of a fight.
For Ao, who stopped last time out against Raymundo Beltran in a WBO Lightweight title bout that Beltran later failed a drugs test for, his bout is likely to be an easier one. His team will almost certainly want to see the ill effects of his stoppage loss and will want to rebuild his confidence following the Beltran bout.
In the case of Iwasa we're again expecting a bit of a gimme with this being his first bout since he was stopped in England by Lee Haskins, in a bout for the IBF interim Bantamweight title.
Whilst we've yet to see these men being officially confirmed our source has stated that they are definitely going to be in action on the show.
