Earlier today saw the official weigh in for "Earnest Efforts 2" a show headlined by a pair of female world title bouts.
The first title bout will be the WBC Atomweight title fight between the long reigning champion Momo Koseki (18-2-1, 5) and novice pro Denise Castle (2-0, 2).
Koseki, attempting to record her 14th title defence, weighed in at 101.25lbs. This was her lightest weight since she defeated Jujeath Nagaowa more than 2 years ago.
Castle, a former Muay Thai fighter, weighed in at 101lbs. Sadly we have no other recorded weight for her since she became a professional boxer last year.
The second title fight will see Naoko Shibata (12-3, 3) defending her IBF female Light Flyweight title for the second time. Shibata will be fighting Mexican veteran Ana Arrazola (20-9-2, 13) and again both fighters made weight relatively easily.
Shibata weighed in at 106.25lbs, her lightest weight since she fought Etsuko Tada back in 2009. It's worth noting however that that bout was for the WBA female Minimumweight title and Shibata came in at 104.25lbs that one.
Arrazola, who looked very strong on the scales, weighed in at 107.75lbs, and may well try to make the most of her weight advantage. This is an identical weight to what Arrazola weighed when she fought Yessica Yolanda Bopp back in 2010.
Whilst we won't go through the weights of all the fighters on the card all the fighters did make their contracted weights.
