Parrenas, ranked #4 at Super Flyweight by the WBO, dropped Garcia thrice in round 3 with vicious body shots before the fight was eventually stopped to give Parrenas his third stoppage win of the year.
Having lost the entire of 2013 due to inactivity the "Filipino War Machine" now appears to be making up for lost time and has taken out his 3 foes this year in a combined 10 rounds. That included a 6th round stoppage against Junior Bajawa to claim the WBO Oriental Super Flyweight title and an opening round blast out of Ryan Soliveres.
Since being blown away in a round by Oscar Blanquet in June 2012 Parrenas has scored 4 straight wins and moved up from Flyweight, a division we presume he was killing himself to make. With his style, power and aggression we're hoping to see Parrenas get a big fiht later this year. Whether that's a world title fight against Omar Andres Narvaez or an OPBF title fight against Arthur Villanueva we don't mind we just want to see more of the aggressive Parrenas.
