Tomorrow fight fans in Tokyo will get the chance to see 2-weight world champion Brian Viloria (36-5-0-2, 22) make his Japanese debut as he takes on Mexican foe Ruben Montoya (14-4-1, 9). The bout, contracted a 114lbs, sees Viloria return to the ring after more than a year out the Filipino expected to kick start his career and move towards another potential world title.
Today Viloria and Montoya took part in their weigh and both made the weight with a little bit of room to spare, coming in at around 113.8lbs.
With the bout taking place above the typical Flyweight limit it was fair to say that neither man boiled down for the weigh in and neither looked like they had hugely focused on the weight, though neither man looked in particularly bad shape.
The bout, which isn't set to recieve any television time on the live broadcast, is viewed as a tune up for Viloria who has big plans ahead and there are rumours in Japan of a potential bout between Viloria and Kazuto Ioka down the line.
