Usmanee, scheduled to fight Mexican banger Juan Antonio Rodriguez (25-4, 23), has been sidelined with an ankle injury which is likely to keep him out of the ring for the short term. Unfortunately Usmanee would have been hoping that a victory over Rodriguez would have brought him a step closer to a rematch with current IBF Super Featherweight champion Rances Barthelemy, who took a controversial victory over Argenis Mendez this past weekend.
The card, which was to be headlined by the Afghan born Usmanee, will still feature an interest for Asian boxing fans as Mongolian born Bayan Jargal (17-4-3, 11) takes on American veteran Zahir Raheem (34-3, 21) in what is likely to be the co-feature of the show. For Jargal this will be his first fight since last February when he was stopped in 3 rounds by Chris Howard whilst Raheem brings a 5 fight winning streak with him including a November 2013 stoppage over Tim Coleman.
We're all hoping Arash a speedy recovery from his injury and hopefully we will see him in a rematch with Barthelemy before the end of the year.
