Knockout CP Freshmart Vs Carlos Buitrago II-CH 7 (13:45-16:45)
The first of the televised cards comes from Thailand this coming Thursday and will see Knockout CP Freshmart (11-0, 6) [น็อคเอาท์ ซีพีเฟรชมาร์ท] facing Nicaraguan Carlos Buitrago (28-1-1-1, 16) in a bout for the WBA Flyweight title. The bout will be aired on Channel 7 in Thailand with the broadcast set to be a monster 3 hour show.
Not only will the card feature the main event but the telecast is supposed to include Yodmongkol Vor Saengthep (37-3, 23) [ยอดมงคล ซีพีเฟรชมาร์ท], Panomroonglek Kaiyanghadaogym (47-2, 29) [พนมรุ้งเล็ก ไก่ย่างห้าดาวยิม] and Oleydong Sithsamerchai (58-1-1, 23) [โอเล่ห์ดง ซีพีเฟรชมาร์ท]
Stamp Kiatniwat Vs Gregorio Lebron II-CH 7 (14:00-16:00
For a second day running Thai fans get televised action with Stamp Kiatniwat (14-0, 6) [ขวัญไทย ศิษย์หมอเส็ง] defending the WBA "interim" Flyweight title against the man he beat for the belt, Gregorio Lebron (13-3, 11). This bout, will also be aired on Channel 7 in Thailand and is set to feature on a 2 hour telecast.
For fans of under-card the details on this card are scarce, though we do know that Chalermpol Singwancha (16-0, 12) [เฉลิมพล สิงห์วังชา] will be in action on the broadcast in what is likely to be a one sided mismatch.
Daud Yordan Vs Yoshitaka Kato-RCTI (21:00-23:00)
Also on February 5th is an Indonesian card set to be televised by RCTI. This card will see local star Daud Yordan (34-3-0-1, 24) battle against Japanese visitor Yoshitaka Kato (29-6-1, 9) [加藤善孝] in what could go down as an under-ground classic. The telecast is set to last 2 hours and will feature the main event live, however the details on what will be shown along with the main bout are scarce with rumours that they will show highlights of an exhibition between Ellyas Pical (20-5-1, 11) and former sparring partner Feras Taborat (0-8)*, or the scheduled bout between Defry Palulu (12-1, 11) and Rey Juntilla (21-7-4, 14). Indonesian broadcasts have however been frustrating in the past and have featured hour long build ups instead of any undercard footage.
Interestingly this may be streamed live over the RCTI website internationally, but this hasn't yet been confirmed.
Ryosuke Iwasa Vs Dennis Tubieron NTV G+ (17:45-22:00)
A third successive day of live televised action sees Japan joining in on the fun with a bout between Japan's very own Ryosuke Iwasa (20-2, 12) [岩佐 亮佑] and well travelled Filipino fighter Dennis Tubieron (19-6-2, 8), both men who should familiar with British fans. The fighters will headline a live broadcast on subscription channel NTV G+, which will air more than 4 hours of live action, in fact we suspect the whole show will be aired here.
Xiong Zhao Zhong Vs Lu Bin-CCTV 5 (Unconfirmed Time)
The first of two Chinese televised cards, both to celebrate the Lunar New Year, will see former WBC Minimumweight champion Xiong Zhao Zhong (26-6-1, 14) [熊朝忠] face APB champion Lu Bin [呂斌]. This bout is one of three "cross code" bouts set for the card and looks to be an intriguing event which is expected to get more than 100,000,000 ,that's not a typo by the way we do mean 100 million, viewers.
Sadly at the moment there is no confirmed time for this one, though we should have details by the end of the week.
Pungluang Sor Singyu Vs Jetro Pabustan-CH 7 (14:00-16:00)
We go back to Thailand for the first televised card on February 12th as WBO Bantamweight champion Pungluang Sor Singyu (51-3, 35) [ผึ้งหลวง ส.สิงห์อยู่] defends his title against Filipino challenger Jetro Pabustan (26-2-6, 7). This will be Pungluang's first defense since reclaiming the title last year, stopping Ryo Akaho, whilst Pabustan will be getting his first world title fight. Notably the winner of this will be ordered to face to face mandatory challenger Marlon Tapales.
This broadcast is set for 2 hours on Thai Channel 7 and will also feature Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym (35-1-2, 20) [ขวัญพิชิต 13 เหรียญเอ็กซ์เพรส] and Rakniran Muadransarakam (9-0, 6) [รักนิรันดร์ หมวดรันสารคาม], time permitting.
Qiu Xiao Jun Vs Richard Commey - CCTV 5 (Unconfirmed time)
Following the third notable Thai card of the month we then head back to China for the second part of the Lunar New Year event, which is again expected to get TV figures that other countries could only dream off. The main event here will see Chinese Super Bantamweight hopeful Qiu Xiao Jun (19-2, 9) [裘晓君] face off against Raymond Commey (13-2, 7). Originally this bout was announced as a WBA world title bout but the WBA revoked that sanctioning and instead it will only be for the WBA "international" title.
The under-card here is stacked however we don't know how long the broadcast is set for or what bouts are likely to be aired on the broadcast, though hopefully we'll know by the start of next week.
Shinya Iwabuchi Vs Al Rivera-Fuji TV (26:40-27:40)*-Tape delay
We head back to Japan on February 13th for a tape delay broadcast of the OPBF Light Welterweight title fight between Shinya Iwabuchi (26-5, 22) [岩渕 真也] and Al Rivera (14-2, 12). This one looks likely to be a shoot out, though unfortunately it will be aired a couple of days after the bout actually takes places so the result will be widely known.
The broadcast is set for an hour though with the main event unlikely to go the schedule the broadcast may feature some highlights from the card, possibly including the second professional bout of Shuichiro Yoshino (1-0, 1) [吉野 修一郎] who is tipped to be a potential star and is stepping up massively.
Eun Hye Lee Vs Louisa Hawton – KBS N Sports (Unconfirmed time)
We complete the "Oriental Set" on February 21st when we head to Korea for a female world title fight between Eun Hye Lee (8-0, 3) [이은혜] Australian Louisa "Bang Bang" Hawton (6-0, 3). The bout will see Lee defending her WBO female Light Flyweight title whilst the touted Hawton gets her first shot at a world title
The TV broadcast for this one is unconfirmed for time though we suspect the main event will be one of two bouts aired, though the broadcast may actually feature three bouts, with the top two under-card bouts both being KBC title bouts.
Patomsuk Pathompothong Vs Stevie Ongen Ferdinandus – Thairath (16:00-18:00)
The final card that we have details for comes on February 26th as we head back to Thailand for a card that will be headlined by Patomsuk Pathompothong (31-4-1, 19) [ปฐมศึก เกษตรพัฒนา] fighting in an IBF Asia title fight at 140lbs against Stevie Ongen Ferdinandus (17-10-1, 8). This card will also feature former Olympic star Manus Boonjumnong (4-0, 2) [มนัส บุญจำนงค์].
Fans wanting to tune in to this one will be in luck as Thairath, Thai Channel 32, will be streaming it live on their mobile app and youtube channel from 16:00 local time and are also expected to upload the broadcast, again to their youtube channel.
