British promoter Eddie Hearn has announced that we are now less than 24 hours away from the announcement regarding the date of the Bantamweight title unification bout between WBO Bantamweight champion Tomoki Kameda (31-0, 19) and WBA "regular" champion Jamie McDonnell (25-2-1, 12).
Mr Hearn, who promotes McDonnell, took to twitter last night to reveal a date had been set and would be announced at some point on Tuesday.
Whilst the full details have yet to be revealed it's been known for a while that the bout was set for the US and it will continue Tomoki's run of US fights, becoming his third in the country following successful defenses of his belt against Pungluang Sor Singyu and Alejandro Hernandez.
From what we've been told by Japanese sources the show is also expected to feature Daiki Kameda (29-4, 18) , who will be fighting for the first time since his loss to Liborio Solis.
Tomoki Kameda hints an announcement will be made soon!
