Tonight fight fans in Mexico will get the chance see local star, and former world champion, Pedro Guevara (28-2-1, 17) and Filipino fighter, and former world title challenger, Jerry Tomogdan (21-7-3, 9), with Tomogdan acting as a late replacement for WBC Light Flyweight champion Ganigan Lopez (28-6, 17).
Yesterday the two fighters took part in their weigh in and both came in in great shape.
On the scales Guevara was the heavier man and came in at 108lbs, his typical fighting weight and the weight he would have come in at had Lopez not had to pull out of the bout.
At just 106lbs Tomogdan came in very light for the contest, and was only 1½lbs lighter when he faced WBC Minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin in June 2015. Despite coming in light he looked ripped and rearing to go in what is likely to be the toughest bout of his career, given that Guevara is world class and bigger than Wanheng was.
