We've known for several weeks that WBO Super Flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (10-0, 8) [井上 尚弥] would be defending his world title against Petchbarngborn Kokietgym (38-7-1, 18) [เพชรบางบอน ก่อเกียรติยิม] on September 4th, in what will be Inoue's 3rd defense of the title. We've known that Inoue has a Japanese exclusivity deal with Fuji TV but what wasn't known was who would be showing the fight in Petchbarngborn's homeland of Thailand.
Today it was announced that the bout will be aired on Channel 3SD, with the broadcast starting at 18:00 Bangkok time.
Whilst the Thai will be the big under-dog he will know that he has nothing to lose and that he will be cheered on by fans watching in his homeland, even if he feels like a rather lonely figure when he gets in the ring with "The Monster", who will be cheered on at the Sky Arena by fans from his home area of Kanagawa.
For international fans looking for streams it would seem like their is now a Thai option.
