Former Japanese Super Flyweight champion Teiru Kinoshita (19-0-1, 3), pictured, is set to return to the ring on April 20th.
The Japanese-Korean fighter who vacated the Super Flyweight title earlier this hasn't yet had an opponent named though will be fighting in an 8 rounder at the Kobe Sambo Hall.
Kinoshita, also known as Tae-Il Park, is currently ranked by 3 of the world title bodies. The best ranking he holds is a #3 ranking with the IBF, though he also holds a #5 ranking with the WBA and a #12 by the WBO. These rankings will likely see Kinoshita looking towards a world title fight for later this year. With that in mind we wouldn't expect a testing contest here for the 28 year old Southpaw.
Prior to giving up his national title in January Kinoshita had made 5 defences and had said he was giving it up to fight for a world title. Whilst the world title opportunity may not yet have presented it's self he will likely manage to get such a fight in coming months, possibly against the winner of the upcoming WBA title fight between Kohei Kono and Denkaosan Kaovichit.
