We have been informed that Japanese teenage hopeful Kenya Noguchi (1-0) will return to the ring on August 8th and face a Thai opponent in a second successive 6 rounder.
The talented and hotly tipped Noguchi, who debuted back in May when he defeated Hideharu Takahashi, will be fighting the wonderfully named Yodarewut Torpran 49 (0-1) who returns to Japan some 5 months after his debut loss, a 3rd round TKO loss to Kensuke Sasaki.
Although Noguchi is some way away from a major fight it's great to see youngsters fighting in 6 rounders this early in their careers and we'd advice that Noguchi is a fighter you put on your "watch list" as from what we've heard this kid has major potential.
The show on August 8th will be headlined by a bout between the talented Tetsuma Hayashi (24-2-1, 8) and the limited Hideyuki Watanabe (7-6-2, 5) though we can't hide the fact that we're more interested in the development of Noguchi tha the main event.
