A few weeks ago we reported that TBS were going to be broadcasting the WBO Minimumweight title bout between wunderkid Kosei Tanaka (5-0, 2) and Filipino puncher Vic Saludar (11-1, 9). Following that report things went very quiet from TBS's side with some speculation that they were going to be forced to back track and either not show the bout, or show it on tape delay.
Thankfully however TBS will indeed be keeping to their word and showing the bout with the contest being shown as part of their "KYOKUGEN" event.
The bout will be screened live on TBS at 4PM Japan time, however the broadcast will be lead by sister channel CBC, who have screen all of Tanaka's bouts so far.
The TBS broadcast, which is available in Tokyo as well over various streaming systems, is set to last from 4PM to 5PM and will come before a world title double header, from Osaka, which is also set to be shown on TBS. More details on that second card will be revealed shortly, though we are glad to report that fight fans in Tokyo will be able to watch all 5 world title bouts taking place on December 31st!
