We've known for a while that Thai television channel Mono 29 would be airing the upcoming IBF Super Bantamweight world title eliminator between Shingo Wake (18-4-2, 11) and Mike Tawatchai (32-7-1, 21) with a live TV broadcast. We've now been informed that TBS will be showing it on tape delay.
The fight, which takes place on June 10th can be seen on Thai channel Mono 29 at 18:30 Thai time. For Japanese fans however they will need to wait until the early hours on Friday morning to catch the fight, along with the tape delay broadcast of the co-main event between former world title challenger Hisashi Amagasa (28-5-2, 19) and Thailand's Patomsith Pathompothong (12-3, 5).
The TBS broadcast will begin at 2:53am, Japanese time, on Friday and is set to run for a little under an hour, with the bouts shown as part of the "Guts Fighting" series of broadcasts. Given the distance of both fights we wouldn't be shocked to see them shown in a heavily edited format if both go the distance.
Whilst this is clearly not great for Japanese fans we wouldn't be shocked to see the fight hitting the internet before the TBS broadcast with most fights shown on Thai TV being put online within 24 hours of their telecast.
