With both men being unbeaten, and with the bout being free streamed aound the world thanks to CBC, it looks like a great conest and a real opportunity for fight fans to get behind one of the hottest young talents in world boxing.
Surprisingly, given how good the bout looks on paper, there is a clear favourite with Tanaka priced at between 1/4 and 5/18 to retain his title and over-come the aggressive Acosta, to make his first defense of the WBO Light Flyweight title. The odds are hard to be interested in given that the bout is a competitive one, but show just how strongly the oddsmakers see Tanaka.
As for Acosta the challenger is a clear under-dog, priced at between 11/4 and a hugely attractive 58/19, which is really tasty given his record and reputation.
As for the draw that is 28/1.
As well as the to win market this fight also has an over/under market, set at 10.5 rounds. To go over the 10.5 rounds mark the odds are 15/8 whilst the under-is priced at 5/13, suggesting the bookies are expcting a win inside the distance for one man or the other.
