The world title bout wasn't the only bout with an Inoue to be announced for the card with Naoya's younger brother, Takuma Inoue (7-0, 2) [井上 拓真], also having a bout announced, and in fact his bout looks a lot more interesting than that of Naoya.
The announcement regarding Takuma's bout was that it would be a world title "prelude", essentially a bout before a world title bout, and would see him face off against Filipino hopeful Froilan Saludar (23-1-1, 14), who is himself world ranked and has inspirations to be at the top of the sport.
The unbeaten Takuma has been one of the most impressive young fighters in the sport. So far he has beaten two world title challengers, Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr and Nestor Daniel Narvaez, a current Japanese champion, Tatsuya Fukuhara, and contenders like Mark Anthony Geraldo and Rene Dacquel. A win over Saludar would be expected, but would be another impressive victory for the youngster.
As for Saludar he was tipped to be a star early in his career when he started to string together some great looking KO's. Unfortunately however his momentum hit a brick wall in 2014 when he was stopped in 2 rounds by McWilliam's Arroyo in an IBF Flyweight world title eliminator, which resulted in Arroyo getting a world title fight with Amnat Ruenroeng. Since then however he has reeled off 4 wins and is regarded as a live contender coming into this bout.
