Earlier today in Japan saw the medical screening for the end of year Minimumweight title fight between Katsunari Takayama (27-7-0-1, 10) and Go Odaira (11-3-3, 1). Thankfully both men passed the medical though there was some interesting information released courtesy of the examinations.
Among those interesting details was the fact the Odaira is the naturally bigger man in most ways. The most notable of those size advantages was seen in his height and reach with a 2.8Cm height advantage and a 5.2Cm of reach.
The one area of size where Takayama came out on top was his chest which was notable bigger than that of his compatriot.
Although the smaller man it's fair to say Takayama will still be favoured going into the contest given his significant advantage in experience which has seen him fighting more than twice as many bouts, almost thrice as many rounds and a notable edge in world title bouts, 11 fights to 0.
