Although Jomthong's record may not show it he's a highly experienced fighter who has a huge wealth of experience in Muay Thai as well as his 9 professional boxing bouts. Those 9 bouts have been tougher than the same amount of fights for a typical fighter with Jomthong already holding notable wins over Dong Hyuk Kim, Ronald Pontillas and, most recently, Daiki Kaneko.
As for Uchiyama this is expected to be one of his toughest bouts. The popular "KO Dynamite" has began to show signs of his age and with only 1 bout last year he has got a lot of questions to answer. Those questions are going to be asked of him against Jomthong who is a genuinely top class fighter.
This bout will be televised on TV Tokyo and take place on May 6th at the Ota-City General Gymnasium. Notable it will be Jomthong's third successive boxing contest in Japan.
