One such bout is the upcoming WBA Super Featherweight "super" title bout between defending champion Takashi Uchiyama (23-0-1, 19) and Nicaraguan challenger Oliver Flores (27-1-2, 17). The bout, possibly the worst of the world title bouts this New Year's Eve, is Uchiyama's 11th defense of his title and sees him facing an opponent without a win of note and who has lost against the only opponent of real quality, that he's faced.
Irish bookies Paddy Power have priced the bout up and have priced Uchiyama as a 1/100 favourite whilst the challenger is a huge 16/1 under-dog whilst the draw is 33/1.
For those looking for a bit of value the bookies have also priced up a "method of victory", which has Uchiyama priced at 1/6 for the stoppage and 7/2 to win by decision. As for Flores he is 33/1 to take home a decision and 20/1 to win by stoppage.
Of course a win by Flores is massively unexpected and if he manages to take home the victory he is also likely to be one of the front runners for the 2015 Upset of the Year.
