It seems that Shigee, pictured, will be returning to the ring on July 26th as he travels to Mexico to fight former IBF Super Flyweight world champion Rodrigo Guerrero (20-5-1, 13) in a major 12 round contest to be held in the Centro de Espectaculos in Hidalgo.
For Shigee, who was formerly ranked by the OPBF, this is a seriously tough assignment though one that matches risk and reward. The risk of losing is high, with out a doubt, but the Japanese Southpaw will know that the reward will be a chance to gain a world ranking given that Guerrero is world ranked by both the WBC and IBF.
This will be the second bout of note involving a Japanese fighter and Guerrero with Daiki Kameda defeating Guerrero last year to claim the IBF Super Flyweight title. That was however in Japan whilst this bout will be in Mexico giving Guerrero the edge here.
