Since their first bout Ao (27-3-1-1, 12) has had relatively good success winning 4 of his 5 bouts, the one he didn't win was later turned into a No Contest following a positive drugs test for Raymundo Beltran. As for Diaz (38-13-3, 17), things have been much less successful as he's gone 1-4-1, with stoppage losses to Ao's stablemate Takashi Miura and former Miura victim Dante Jardon.
The rematch is set to take place on November 28th and Ao sounds confident of stopping his Mexican foe, though of course he seemed confident before their first meeting as well.
The bout is one of 3 fully announced contests for the show which will feature a pair of world title fights. These will see wild gun-slinger Koki Eto (17-3-1, 13) take on Carlos Cuadras (33-0-1, 26) for the WBC Super Flyweight title and the speedy Yu Kimura (17-2-1, 3) take on WBC Light Flyweight champion Pedro Guevara (26-1-1, 17). Still to be announced are bouts featuring Toshiyuki Igarashi (21-2-1, 11) and Ryosuke Iwasa (19-2, 12), with these announcements expected to come shortly.
