The main event of that show, a Japanese Bantamweight title bout, saw the challenger dwarfing the champion ahead of their bout with the weigh in revealing a stark size differential between the two men who looked a division apart despite both making the Bantamweight limit.
The challenger, Tatsuya Takahashi (18-5-3, 13), made the weight spot on the nose at 118lbs though he clearly towered over his foe, Kentaro Masuda (20-6, 11) who came in marginally under the limit. Although dwarfed physically Masuda will enter the bout as the favourite and will be hoping to secure his second defense of the belt.
All the other men in action on this show also made weight with the most notable of those being OPBF Light Welterweight champion Keita Obara (12-1, 11) who made the move to Welterweight and came in spot on the weight at 147lbs. The heavy handed Obara was more than 2lbs heavier than Filipino foe Rodel Wenceslao (8-9-1, 2) who is being given no chance to upset the hard hitting Obara.
