Just a few moments ago fans in the US got the chance to see the professional debut of Chinese Heavyweight giant Taishan Dong (1-0, 1).
Taishan, stood at 6'11" looked pretty impressive as he took apart Alex Rozman (2-7, 1) in just 2 rounds and show surprising technique for such a big man.
In the opening round Taishan established his heavy jab which actually dropped Rozman with a few seconds left in the rounds. In the second round Taishan came out with a more aggressive mentality and although Rozman tried to match him early in the round he was dropped again with a jab and from then on the bout was a foregone conclusion with Rozman throwing nothing but hayemakers and eventually being dropped again. This time the referee had seen enough.
Despite showing some impressive traits Taishan also left us with some clear areas to improve. He was relatively easy to hit so will need to tighten his defence though his jab looked very sharp and it's clear that he has potential to become a notable name in the Heavyweight division. He will however need to improve before being moved up in class.
