According to the twitter account of Mauricio Sulaiman, the head of the WBC, there has been a adverse drug test for former WBC Super Flyweight champion Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (48-7-1, 24) [สุริยัน ศ.รุ่งวิสัย].
At the moment details are scarce on, with Sulaiman's tweet revealing the only details we currently know about the situation. The details are that he has had an adverse result on a VADA test, in regard to methanphetamines.
Effectively this has put Suriyan's putting his WBC #1 Bantamweight ranking at seriuous risk. In fact unless Suriyan can prove his innocence he will be removed from the WBC rankings all together for a set period of time.
It'll be interesting to see how this story develops but this could be the start of the end for Suriyan.
