Earlier today we were informed that Thai teenager Stamp Kiatniwat (11-0, 5) would be returning to the ring on January 2nd to defend his PABA Flyweight title. From what we were told he would be defending the belt against an Indonesian foe though their name wasn't given to us unfortunately. Whilst we're lacking the opponents name we have been informed that the bout will be on Channel 7 in Thailand and will be held in the Thai capital of Bangkok.
Aged 17 Stamp is viewed as one of Thailand's most promising young prospects and has shown the traits needed to become a star. We know he's young but he's already proven his ability by defeating former world champion Kwanthai Sithmorseng. To date that's been his stand out win though you don't get many teenagers with a win of that sort of quality.
It seems likely that 2015 will be a busy year for Stamp though we don't expect him to be fighting many, if any, major names. Instead it will be a year of development with the youngster looking to get experience and round off his skills whilst also maturing from a boy into a man.
