This Wednesday's very promising IBF/WBA Super Flyweight unification bout between Daiki Kameda and Liborio Solis will still go ahead however Solis did fail to make weight.
Solis, who won his title in an enthralling contest with Kohei Kono earlier this year, weighed in at 117.5lbs, significantly above the 115lb Super Flyweight limit. As a result of this weight issue he has been stripped by the WBA. Thankfully however the WBA title will still be on the line allowing Daiki to become the unified champion.
We'd expect the IBF to recognise Kameda as the champion win or lose.
As far as the other contests on the card, they will go ahead as planned. Katsunari Takayama will be defending his IBF Minimumweight title against Filipino challenger Vergilio Silvano and Tomoki Kameda will be defending against Immanuel Naidjala.
