The Japanese schedule for May keeps getting more and more packed with fights, and shows, being announced every few days. The latest show to be announced is Shinsei's "Real Spirits Vol 51", a card that has had several fighters confirmed for it, though the opponents haven't yet been announced.
One of those fighters confirmed for the show is OPBF Super Bantamweight champion Shun Kubo (9-0, 7) [久保 隼], who will be in the show's main event defending his regional title. Sadly at the moment no opponent has been named for the talented 26 year old southpaw, though looking at his recent bouts we do suspect he'll be matched aggressively and could be defending the title against a very credible foe.
Another fighter announced for the card is 21 year old Minimumweight hopeful Ryuya Yamanaka (11-2, 2) [山中 竜也], who will be risking his WBO Minimumweight world ranking as he faces a yet to be named foe. Coming in to this one Yamanaka has won his last 4 bouts and will be looking to record a 5th straight win since his narrow loss to Roque Lauro in August 2014.
The only other man of note confirmed for this show is the unbeaten Retsu Kosaka (6-0, 1) [小坂 烈], though as with Kubo and Yamanaka his opponent hasn't yet been confirmed.
Along with the three men mentioned above the card will also feature a number of Rookie of the West qualifying bouts.
