At the weigh in today both men made weight on their first attempt.
The champion came in at 121.75lbs, and looked in good shape for the bout whilst towering over his challenger. Although the longer, rangier fighters Kubo does appear to be a natural Super Bantamweight, albeit one with a wiry frame that could fill out in the years to come, giving him a chance of fighting at Featherweight or even even Super Featherweight in the future.
The challenger was also 121.75lbs, though stated that he had to lose weight today to make the limit after after being slightly over the 122lb limit when he got to the venue. It was however no issue and he really didn't struggle to come in under the limit.
For fans wanting to watching this bout it will be aired live on KTV tomorrow from 16:00 local time and will then be shown on delay by BS fuji, at 18:00 local time.
