Although we've not been told who Tsuchiya will be fighting, other than that the opponent was an "unbeaten Filipino", what is clear is that the Japanese puncher will be looking to make the most of his opportunity here and move into a fight with the winner of the main event in 2017.
Coming in to his bout Tsuchiya is the #1 ranked Japanese title contender and will be looking to make the most of that ranking with a title fight next year, in what would be his first title fight on Japanese soil, following a regional title bout in Australia against Leonardo Zappavigna back in April 2014.
It's still, sadly, unclear whether or not www.boxingraise.com will be streaming the show, but with August and September's schedules looking a bit thin for the fledgling service it would certainly be unwise not to let fans tune in to this show.
We hope to have the name of Tsuchiya's opponent shortly.
