We've known that Japanese fighter Shingo Wake (19-4-2, 11) has been spending time in the US ahead of his IBF mandatory world title challenger against the unbeaten Carl Frampton (21-0, 14). What we didn't know is who Wake would be spending time training with whilst in the US.
Late last night Wake himself blogged about his latest training partner, American fighter Chris Avalos (25-3, 19).
Avalos knows all about Frampton following a fight between the two men earlier this year, when he was stopped in 5 rounds by the popular Irishman.
Whilst Avalos certainly doesn't have the knowledge of "how to beat" Frampton he does have experience of sharing the ring with him and will know some of the little things Frampton does that may not be too clear to viewers. This could be showing just how hard or how sharp Frampton is of other little nuances that the champion does.
