Earlier today it was announced that WBC female Flyweight champion Shindo Go (14-2, 9) had completed her gym transfer, joining Green Tsuda.
Go had recently voiced her displeasure at the Kuratoki gym, her previous gym. And at one point had sent a letter to the JBC to indicate her wish to vacate her world title due to her situation at the Kuratoki gym. Thankfully the WBC and JBC both sat down and discussed the issues with Go and allowed her to retain her title as long as she promised to make a mandatory defense of her title when she was ready.
Due to the various issues regarding Go and her situation at the Kuratoki gym the JBC have helped her with her transfer and the move to Green Tsuda appears to have been a swift and easy one with all parties involved happy to have the move completed swiftly.
For fans of Go she will be back in the ring on October 4th as she travels to Mexico to battle against mandatory challenger Arely Mucino (20-2-2, 10). That will be Go's first fight under the Green Tsuda banner and hopefully the first of many world title defenses. It's not an easy bout for Go to win though hopefully she will be encouraged by this transfer and put in a career defining performance.
