It was announced earlier that WBC female Flyweight champion Shindo Go (13-2, 8) will make the second defence of her world title on May 25th as she takes on WBC #9 ranked challenger Kledpetch Lookmuangkan (6-2, 1).
Go won the title last year by dethroning Hungarian youngster Renata Szebeledi though struggled in her first defence against Mexico's Judith Rodriguez. She'll be hoping for an easier assignment with Kledpetch though things may be more difficult than expected.
The Thai youngster lost twice last year, including being stopped in 8 rounds by Hee-Jung Yuh in South Korea, though did finish the year with an excellent victory over fellow Thai Kanittha Kokietgym. Although fans may not recognise Kledpetch they should be somewhat familiar with Kanittha as she did fight Go back in 2009 and has twice shared the ring with the excellent Naoko Fujioka.
Go should be experienced enough, hit hard enough and be skilled enough to defeat Kledpetch but we'd not be shocked at all if this turned into a very, very hard fought bout for the champion in about 6 weeks time.
