Tomorrow fans will get the chance to see former Japanese amateur stand out Satoshi Shimizu (0-0) [清水 聡] make his debut, as he takes on Korean fighter In Kyoo Lee (3-2, 1) [이인규] in a 6 rounder.
The 2012 Olympic bronze medal winner and the Korean Featherweight champion both took part in their official weigh in this morning and both made the contracted 58KG weight limit for the bout, in fact both came in light at 57.8KG's.
For those who work in lbs both men were 127.4lbs, well under the Super Featherweight limit and marginally above the Featherweight limit.
At the weigh in both men looked relaxed and calm though it was obvious that Shimizu was the more confident of the two men and it seems like he and his team believe he can score a KO over the Korean and make a great impression on his professional debut. The Korean, who will be returning to the ring for the first time in almost 2 years, looked confident but this is a huge step up for him.
