Tomorrow fans in Asia will get the chance to see a WBO Flyweight world title bout, as Zou Shiming (9-1, 2) [邹市明] takes on Sho Kimura (14-1-2, 7) [木村翔], with a multi-hundred-million viewership expected.
Today the two men took part in their weigh in for the bout and both men made weight comfortably.
On the scales Shiming was 111.9lb and looked in good condition for the bout, full of confidence, and not like a man who hadn't fought since last November. He is however 36 and we have seen fighters at that age essentially get old over-night, especially at the lower weights.
Kimura was the lighter man, at 111.6lbs. He too looked calm and relaxed at the weigh in, and it seems like being in China really hasn't got to him, despite heightened media cvoverage of the contender, somethign he hasn't had throiugh his career so far.
