Yesterday we reported that the IBF Featherweight world title eliminator between Satoshi Hosono (32-2-1, 21) [細野 悟] and Jonathan Victor Barros (40-4-1, 22) would have a notable ringside attendee, current IBF Featherweight champion Lee Selby (23-1, 8). Selby, who will be mandated to face the winner, got a chance to see the two men earlier than their fight as he attended the weigh in earlier today.
At the weigh in both men came in on the limit of 126lbs for the bout and both looked in great condition for the bout, which will take place tomorrow at the Korakuen Hall.
It was the 8th time in 9 fights that Hosono has been bang on the limit, and in fact he's been dead on 126lbs in 14 of his last 17 bouts, showing that the weight is one he's comfortable at.
For Barros the weight was the first time he has been 126lbs in more than 2 years, with his last 3 bouts being fought closer to the Super Featherweight limit. Although he has been flirting at 126lbs his most notable wins have been at Featherweight, where he has beaten both Celesino Caballero and Miguel Roman.
Selby will be ringside for the bout, which will be aired on delay this coming weekend on Fuji TV.
